Appointments may be arranged by telephone or by calling at reception. Each doctor will have a limited number of pre-bookable appointments Tuesday – Friday which will be available to book two weeks in advance.

Out of Hours
Emergency cover is provided by Southern Area Urgent Care Services (SAUCS). They can be contacted by telephoning 02838399201 You will be answered by a Receptionist who will take your details ie name, address, telephone number etc.

Test Results
Results of investigation eg blood tests etc, are available by telephoning 3752 1400 after 2.00 pm when the results will have been reported on by the doctor.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone and let us know.

Practice History
The Archway Surgery is an established Armagh GP Practice having been part of Armagh Health Centre for many years. We moved to our current premises in November 1999 and we are delighted to be able to offer our patients provision of General Medical Services in very pleasant surroundings.

Sign up to online services - order your repeat prescriptions or book your appointment online.  Save yourself time, and help us free up the phone lines!

    If you are on repeat prescriptions and aged 18 or over, simply bring ID to the reception desk and we will supply personal login details.  Then, you can use the link at the bottom of this page or visit to make online repeat prescription requests quickly and easily, whenever it suits you!  It couldn't be simpler.   

Please continue to allow at least 2 working days before collecting your prescription.  


The GP Out-of-Hours number below should be used if you need to contact a GP urgently after 6pm, at the weekend or on a Bank Holiday.  This service is for urgent medical conditions what cannot wait until your GP surgery is opened, and is located in Armagh Community Hospital at Tower Hill site.

On the second Wednesday of each month the practice will close from 1pm to 6pm for essential staff training. If you need to contact a doctor urgently during this period please telephone the GP on Call on the following number:
